Chris Weaver and Jacob Bryant have released a new tune much to our listening pleasure! “Circus”, out now via American Roots Records / Thirty Tigers, is available everywhere.
Weaver has made a living for the past 20 years as a singer, performer, and songwriter. He has shared the stage with the biggest names in music, while also penning tunes with the most talented writers in the business. Throughout those years grinding and climbing his way through the ranks of the more talented musical minds in the country music community, Chris has aged and matured, and “Circus” is a reflection of the life musicians live while out on the road.
As is the case with any great songwriter, Weaver offers some literal analogies as well as metaphoric descriptions throughout the track, accompanying a stretch of catchy riffs and aggressive yet tamed musical energy.

For the past two decades, Chris has made a name for himself as an incredibly talented writer by intertwining elements of southern rock, blues, country and pop to create a sound all his own. “Circus” incorporates those attributes musically, which should certainly not overshadow the gifted voice delivery of both Weaver and Bryant throughout this track.

In a country music generation that is unfortunately defined largely on a mainstream level as predictable, vanilla, and unimaginative at times, talented songwriters like Chris Weaver constantly remind us how much talent there is in Music City (and beyond) as well as the potential for country music to continue to evolve. It is not a bad thing to incorporate elements of other musical brands into the one we love the most, and his ability to do so with the respect of each genre is unprecedented.

Fans can catch Chris and his band at select gigs throughout the winter and spring, including a special show on March 9 at The Listening Room in Nashville, which will also feature Bryant along with Craig Campbell.
